Help fund the Alabama Birth Coalitions efforts in opening access to care for birthing women in our state and fighting to protect the access to care that we have!!

How to volunteer.

Many of these activities take a minimal time commitment, can be done from home, or take place in a setting that is kid and family friendly. Never worry about missing a committee meeting or event just because you have a nursling or tot in tow.

Unite.

Join us by entering your contact info on the Home page. We won’t ever share your information with anyone, and it is extremely important that we have an email, physical address, and a phone number. We need to match you up to the correct legislative districts.

Insist.

Call or write your local hospitals to voice your demand for any unavailable options such as Certified Nurse Midwife attendants, wireless monitoring, labor tubs, VBACs, baby-friendly accreditation, or whatever matters to YOU.

Influence.

Contact Your Legislators in support of current or future legislation to improve maternity care. Go to OpenStates.org to locate your representatives. Check the Information page on the website for talking points.

Gift.

Ask baby shower and birthday party attendants to make donations to ABC as gifts.

Organize.

Host an event to raise awareness or funds for ABC or similar organizations working to improve maternity care.

Share it.

Join Goodsearch and select Alabama Birth Coalition as your cause. When you shop with Goodshop, a percentage of your purchases is donated to ABC at no extra cost. And whenever you search the internet, ABC earns a penny. Two ways to make searching easier are to set Goodsearch as your home page, or to download the browser add-on. Another tip is to keep a Goodsearch page open on your smartphone (no app is available). Those searches count, too.
